Morning Routine: The Hilary Edit
Meet Hilary Phelps, speaker, entrepreneur, addiction recovery advocate, holistic coach, and retreat facilitator. Her morning routine is filled with self care, meditation, and of course Alchimie Forever products.
On wakeup time: “My 7 year old son is my alarm clock. Usually that’s between 6 and 6:15.”
On coffee: “My partner usually makes us coffee. He brings me coffee in the bathroom. Coffee is the one thing I’m pretty particular about. I love this brand Kion, which is mold-free and toxin-free. I drink it with a splash of organic heavy cream (and it’s delicious!). But I rotate - sometimes it’s almond milk, sometimes it’s black, sometimes it’s heavy cream.”
On morning meditation and regulation: “I get my son ready for school. Making breakfast for him, wrapping up homework, packing lunch and then we’re out the door. Once I get him to school, I come home, shower, and then I meditate, which is so very important for me. It really grounds me for the day. After that, I spend a few minutes regulating - nervous system regulation.”
On her skin care routine: “My skin care routine usually happens after I take a shower, and is filled with Alchimie Forever products. I’ll wash my face with either cleanser depending on how my skin feels, put on the Pigment Perfecting Serum, a moisturizer, an eye cream, and always use the Firming Gel for Neck and Bust. Then I jump into calls and my day is off.”
On her favorite Alchimie Forever product: “My favorite Alchimie Forever product used to be the Dry Skin Balm (which is always in my purse), but now it’s the Peptide Lip Booster - it’s magic!”
On breakfast: “I’ll eat breakfast around 10am or 11am most likely with another cup of coffee. Sometimes it’s eggs with arugula and kimchi, or eggs with goat cheese on sourdough, or coconut yogurt with hemp seeds and berries.”
On working out: “Depending on what time my work calls start, I’ll also get a workout in, or I won’t! The workout depends on what kind of movement I feel I need that day.”
On weekend mornings: “I like a slow weekend. Coffee in bed is my guilty pleasure. And vegging on the couch on a Saturday with nothing to do - it’s luscious!”
On self care: "Self care sometimes has a negative connotation, that it’s selfish. But I truly believe that without taking care of ourselves - and whatever that looks like for each person - we are no good to anybody. For me, self care looks like spending time by myself when I can, getting really quiet. And baths (lots of baths). And, skin care!"
On her beauty philosophy: “I show up for my skin the same way I show up for myself: daily, gently, and without shame!”
On her life philosophy: “I don’t believe in quick fixes, just daily rituals that add up to lasting change.”
