Esthetician Spotlight: Levi Roze

Esthetician Interview: Levi Roze’s Skin Care Tips & Routine

Meet Levi Roze, a licensed esthetician, and discover his expert skin care tips, daily routine, and professional insights for healthy skin.

Alchimie Forever recently partnered with several Dallas-based FACE FOUNDRIÉ locations. We were so pleased to see Levi Roze, one of the Southlake location estheticians embrace our line and showcase it on his social media. His story is at the core of what skin care can do – heal skin, of course, but also help increase self love, self confidence, and provide an incredible career path to those who care about others and want to make a difference.

AP:What was your journey to becoming an esti?

LR:It’s actually quite the story and journey. My original plan was to become a celebrity makeup artist. Now don’t get me wrong, that’s not completely off the table but it’s definitely not the only thing I see my as currently. It all started when I was 8 years of age when my mom introduced me to the SyFy channel’s “FaceOff” TV show. It sparked my interest so much so, I begged for a kit. Well there just weren’t enough available resources at that time period to get me one. So the dream fizzled away until high school where a certain class awoke that interest in me. Then I found myself applying to beauty school and starting the process to becoming an esthetician. That became something near and dear to my heart, due to my skin condition, Keratosis Pilaris. Diagnosed, before my passion for makeup and the beauty industry, at age 5 my doctor said to me and my mother; “he has chicken skin”. Scarring remarks that still hold weight to this day. My skin immediately became a focal point of insecurity. During my teenage years the Keratosis Pilaris wasn’t my only issue- acne also became a serious issue I fought hard with. It truly affected my self-esteem. Then starting esthetician school, I gathered the knowledge I needed to help myself. From there I found my purpose, to give others the knowledge and confidence I had lacked for so long.

AP: Where do you currently practice?

LR:I am currently an esthetics educator for Ogle Beauty School of 3 years, an esthetician working at FACE FOUNDRIÉ of Southlake for about 3 months now, and an active working brow & makeup artist for my own brand Levi Roze.

AP:How did you discover Alchimie Forever? What was your first Alchimie Forever product?

LR:FACE FOUNDRIÉ actually! I had never interacted with Alchimie Forever until starting with FACE FOUNDRIÉ. My first product is the Kantic Calming Cream! AND I’M OBSESSED IT’S PHENOMENAL!!

AP:Favorite Alchimie Forever product and why?

LR:It would have to be the Kantic Calming Cream. It’s simply the most balanced moisturizer I’ve ever used. Not too heavy, not to light, but very hydrating and calming.

AP:What Alchimie Forever product do you use or recommend the most to clients?

LR:The Kantic Calming Cream and the Advanced Retinol Serum are now big staples into my regular routine. Which is why I recommend them regularly to my clientele. But I’ve also been recommending the Gentle Refining Scrub!

AP:Your #1 skin care recommendation to your clients.

LR:Treat then recover. You can’t have happy, healthy skin without balance. So any progressive treatment you do, follow up with a treatment that helps recover the skin and it’s barrier.

AP:What’s your skin care hot take/unpopular opinion/controversial idea?

LR:My skin care hot take…. Oil…. I love a good skin oil.

AP:What’s one thing you avoid at all costs when taking care of your skin?

LR:For my skin I avoid too much fragrance!

AP: Can you talk about the connection between self care and skin care?

LR:Self care is a practice I am constantly working on. What I’ve found it takes self respect, which I’ve learned does not exist without self discipline and self control. And that’s exactly what skin care takes. The discipline, to be conscientious and consistent. The control to not overdo it or underdo it. But on the flip side, self care is also an act of self love. To pour into yourself as you do into others. And showing that tender love and care to your skin is an investment.

AP: What’s your favorite form of self care (ie. how do you unwind)?

LR:I love a quiet day in a freshly cleaned home, with a glass of wine and a home cooked meal. It sets my intentions for the week, allows my body to decompress, and helps me align myself…. But truthfully my guilty pleasure is getting dressed up!

AP:Take us through your morning routine

LR:Right now I’ve been big into barrier repair and care. So my routine is very mild and regenerative. I leave the heavy-duty products and ingredients to my monthly or biweekly facial treatments.  Currently my morning routine is:

  1. 1. Face Reality Barrier balance creamy cleanser
  2. 2. Dermalogica daily micorfoliant for my morning shave
  3. 3. Hollifrog Microflora Toner
  4. 4. Alchimie Forever Kantic Calming cream

AP:What are you excited about right now?

LR:I am excited to grow as an esthetician. I love this industry so much, it’s done so much for me. My confidence, my skin, my mind, my body and my community have benefited so much from this industry. So I can’t wait to grow more in this field and industry…also I’m ready for another trip across the globe so catch me on a flight next!
