Morning Routine: The Maria Edit

On wakeup time: "I am definitely not a morning person, and my alarm painfully goes off at 6:30 am!"
On morning beverages: "I start every day with a glass of lemon water. After my skin and body care routine, I’ll have my first hot beverage, which will be either tea or coffee depending on my mood."
On slow mornings: "My mornings always include five to ten minutes of self meditation and journaling, to set my intentions for the day!"
On her favorite Alchimie Forever products: "I am very ritualistic in my skin and body care. As an esthetician, I always start by analyzing and looking at my skin to determine what it needs – what is going on with my skin this morning? And I go from there, including of course body care."
On breakfast: "Supplements and a grapefruit or kiwi, with a handful of mixed nuts and pumpkin seeds. All the vitamins and antioxidants!"
On her beauty philosophy: "My beauty philosophy has evolved over the years, as have my beauty needs; in this era of my life I feel: You wear your face everyday (and skin for that matter), so invest in it - it's your best accessory."
On her life philosophy: "My life's philosophy has always been centered around love and the idea that loving someone means loving who they will continuously evolve and metamorphose into through life. It's not just loving a person for who they present themselves to be today because there's always a season of change. I was recently introduced to this quote by Octavia Butler, which really resonates with me ‘All that you touch you change. All that you change changes you. The only lasting truth is change.'"
